This week is off to a good start! Each new week a new high risk pregnancy doctor is in the hospital. There are four of them and this morning I met the fourth. He wants to get a feel for baby and what our situation is, so we stayed put and have done some breaks in our monitoring. We go two hours on and two hours off. He is usually pretty active when I am off the monitor, which is a big peace of mind for me.
My mom came and brought Bailey this morning. I hadn't seen her since thursday, so I was needing it. She snuggled up next to me and we watched Dora and other cartoons. We both needed it. She turned towards me and wrapped her arm around my belly. The Cluffs came by for a visit and it was really fun to catch up on everything with them. My in-laws brought lunch and kept me company for awhile this afternoon. Can you see why it was such a good day? Chris brought Julie and Hunter this evening so it was really calm and enjoyable. Julie's birthday is Saturday and I keep stressing that they need to eat the cake up here with me. I think I made my point clear.
Andrea, you sound really good and positive. That is what it takes to make it through the days and weeks, waiting in a hospital and waiting for this little guy to continue to grow. We are cheering for you and praying for you everyday. Lexie and Julie are such awesome young ladies. It sure is fun having them sing with the choir and I am thankful that Chris comes and brings them with him. I remember when I was in the hospital with one of my pregancies for six weeks, the most important moment for me and the turning point, was spiritually reaching up and handing my burden to my Heavenly Father and feeling a peace come over me. You are a beautiful and amazing woman, with such a great family. Hope that birthday party (in your room) is extra special and that the days will go fast. Mary Jarvis
ReplyDeleteI am soooo grateful that you have so many people who just love you and your family so much! Diddo to what Mary said, we are all cheering for you and praying for you! You go girl!!! Are you up for a girl's night in with our daughters and a chic flick and nails or something? How about Saturday....or sometime next week. Let me know! Take Care! Rebecca
ReplyDeleteHang in there, girlfriend! I love to hear your positive attitude and have so much respect for your strength. However - be sure to let your guard down occasionally. :) You're in a tough spot, girl - and it's okay to miss being a mommy, sleeping in your own bed, and managing your house. On the other hand . . . you have an important job - nurturing and providing for that little man! He'll grow from your love, strength, Faith, and optimism - Thursday is just 1 day away . . . and look how far you've both come! :) Take some time today to give yourself kudos. I had your kids for breakfast this AM and they are so well behaved and gracious. You've done a great job with them! Your absence has made them appreciate and miss you . . . but has also helped them gain more independence. I know this wasn't the type of pregnancy you were expecting . . . but we are given these trials for reasons unknown.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. Sing to that little man. Accept help. Have Faith the outcome will be miraculous!
